I do realize that most of the time I write these blog entries in a very “Me” sort of way. Okay, a very selfish, all about me kind of way. But it is my blog and I am writing of my adventures, etc. But one thing I have taken for granted at times and have not mentioned enough of is that I would not be where I am as a successful shooter without my husband Charles. From getting me started to a continued support as my success grows. Yes, I am pulling the trigger and winning matches but I had to get to that point. And, I also tend to have more of a man’s personality in that I don’t show emotions often as I should. Don’t get offended guys. You know a bit what I mean. So here is a statement to Charles that still won’t do justice to how wonderful he is.
Thank you Charles for introducing me in to the sport of High Power. First with the service rifle in across the course and then to long range. Thank you Charles for getting up earlier than I on match days and getting gear together and packed in to the truck while I snooze just a little longer. Thank you Charles for loading all of my ammunition!!!! Yes I help at the end with the easy part of powder and seating bullets but he does the tedious cleaning, resizing and priming, etc. (I know Charles’ friends would snicker when I write that “I loaded ammo”) Thank you Charles for supporting me in all of my travels. I think I spent about one week a month away from home this last year at peak season. Thank you for driving us to many of the matches. Thank you for cleaning my rifles and pistols after every match. Thank you for including me in some of the guy shooting trips. Thank you for pushing me to write my blog. Thank you for helping me promote 30calgal. But mostly on a personal level thank you for being so patient of me. I can be stubborn. Umm….really stubborn. Thank you for your confidence in everything I do. All of my wacky business adventures and hobbies. This goes back to patience again. Thank you for giving me an amazing life style. Thank you for all of the adventures we have taken together. Thank you for the best surprise birthday party on my 40th of my 84′ Prom theme. (The lovely photo at top right) Thank you for taking Kozmo out for the late night walks every evening so that I don’t go out alone in the streets of Seattle. Thank you for taking care of MY mom when I could not be around to do so. Thank you for opening my car door every single time from our very first date to today 9 years later even when I am in my workout clothes. Thank you for letting me move my office back home and in to your gun room. Thank you for loving me so much. I can truly say you do so unconditionally. Thank you for 9 amazing and fun years. I can’t wait for the next 9 and more.
Thank you Charles.
