Driving home last month from our trip to the Midwest we went through Colorado to visit some family members. We could not drive through without stopping at Mile High Shooting in Erie, CO. I met one of the owners, Randy Pennington at Shot Show in his booth last year. Frank Gill of Snipershide.com was sitting in the booth with Randy. Introductions were made and I realized Mile High is one of the largest distributors of the famous Accuracy International rifles and products. Not to mention they are distributors of many outstanding products used in building rifles. I then met Randy’s wife Diann at the Snipershide Cup held in CO last April. Mile High was one of the main sponsors of the match. Because of my new interest in competing in tactical and precision rifle matches I have become a huge fan of Mile High and the family and crew behind it. I was super excited to visit their store and sent them a quick email that we wanted to stop in and say hello. We were given a very warm welcome by Diann and the crew working the store and warehouse. She brought us on a tour and I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Mile High distributes AI parts and accessories but they also will build your entire rifle set up. They carry top of the line products for the tactical and precision game. In the store it was a delight to see several AI rifles and chassis up on the wall. But then we went behind the door to the warehouse and gunsmith shop and there were containers and shelves of chassis, rifles, suppressors and optics. Brands such as Nightforce and Schmidt & Bendor, Leupold, SAS (Suppressed Armament Systems) Spuhr Optical Mounts and more. They were piled high! They were getting ready for an LE trade show and had cases of custom rifle builds to show off at their booth. I was drooling just a little. In one container (and I
mean shipping container) they had the last batch of the discontinued AE Mk III rifles. Ready at an amazing price for anyone. There were shelves and shelves of bullets not normally seen out in the wild these days. I bought some Berger 6m hybrid 105’s we had not been able to find lately. The store of course is open to the public and they have the website, www.milehighshooting.com as well. But you really need to visit them in person and see for yourself the quality work and customer service they offer. Thanks Diann and gang for the fun visit.
